The Member Advisory Board (MAB) is here to represent and serve Spiece Fitness members as a liaison to Spiece Management. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to talk with us or any MAB representative. Come out to Spiece Fieldhouse for our after-school Sports Performance program. Our program is available year-round and allows athletes to begin at any time. 

Tuesday and Thursday - 5:30-6:30 pm

  • $10 Drop-In or included in Blue or Black Card Membership

While we may or may not have positions available, we are always accepting applications for hard-working, service-minded individuals. Positions that most commonly need to be filled include Front Desk, Gym Desk, Cleaning, Trainer, Group Instructor, and Sales.

You may download an application here or pick one up at the Front Desk.  Please return completed applications in person to Spiece Fitness at 5310 Merchandise Drive, 46825.

Derek Frisk

I have a passion for the health & wellness field. I have always enjoyed the benefits of exercising. My goal is to help people accomplish their fitness goals and adopt the same passion that I have to make exercise a lifestyle and habit for everyday living. I am a certified personal trainer through the National Strength &  Conditioning Association NSCA-CPT. I started at Spiece after completing my internship at Spiece Fitness in 2007. I have worked here ever since and it has been over 14 years now. I completed my bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Ball State University, I also have an Associate degree in General Studies from Glen Oaks Community College.

Conner Apple

I have always had a passion for health and fitness and through learning the foundations of movement, I was able to acquire the science behind changing the body physically through exercise. Over the course of several years, I have spent my time studying, researching, and perfecting the best approaches to changing the body through physical exercise and nutritional programs to achieve hundreds of individual clients’ health and fitness goals. I have cultivated this knowledge through research and studies at Tennessee Tech University, providing supplement advisements at GNC to fulfill nutrition gaps, competing in bodybuilding shows, and pursuing continuing education.

Combining all my knowledge and experience, I am now able to teach others the foundations of changing the human body both physically and mentally through effective workouts, cardiovascular prescriptions, and nutritional programs at any age and skill level.

DeVon Causey

I’m a formally educated, experienced athlete, competitive bodybuilder, and entrepreneur recently adding the state-of-the-art International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA) personal trainer certification to my arsenal.  I believe in enjoying life, gaining knowledge, contributing valuable service, and overcoming challenges and adversity to gain wisdom. Personal training targets the fitness of the physical body but if the mind is strong the body will follow. Therefore, my programs are individually customized for individual needs to allow you to build on your internal attributes. My current client base ranges from competitive athletes to more mature clients, some of whom have rehabilitative needs. I’m passionate about sharing knowledge that will enable and/or encourage people to elevate and prosper in all areas of their lives: socially, spiritually, physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially. In case you haven’t noticed, health and fitness is a matter of survival and it is mission-critical. We get one body. Respect it as your temple and honor the people who love you and the people you love with good health. We are all a work in progress. If this was easy, everyone would do it … but do it anyway!
